It didn’t take long after the release of expansion number one (The burning crusade) before Blizzard announced the second one - Wrath of the Lich King.

The new expansion opens up a new continent called Northrend, an increase in level cap to 80 and the introduction of Hero classes with the Death knight, to name a few things.
