Worldofwarcraft.com announces that PayPal payments are accepted for WoW subscriptions. Both current and new subscribers can assign their PayPal account as automatic payment method on the Account Management page.

We have been waiting for this a long time. I expect PayPal payments to be the #1 payment method in a short time. The only reason I can see for Blizzard not implementing this earlier is that it will cost them a small percentage. A percentage that multiplied by a few million subscribers actually makes big money. But then again, I don’t expect Blizzard to pay the same percentage as I do when selling stuff on eBay. (no, not my characters. :))
